Shoes

“Give a girl the correct footwear and she can conquer the world” -Bette Midler

Today I bought a new pair of shoes. I went to a REAL shoe store with a REAL salesman who discussed the different brands and footbeds and proper fit with me. I prefer the prices of the discount places where you pick out your own and just try them on right off the shelf, but the reality is its rare that I actually end up truly liking those after I've gotten them home and tried wearing them for any period of time.

I have always needed "sensible" shoes and the cute, sexy, stylish ones have never really been an option for me. This year I've now had the extra burden of compression hose to challenge my ability to not look like an old woman in support hose and sensible shoes. And if that wasn't hard enough, I do not live in Alaska or Antarctica or somewhere where one might actually enjoy wearing hose in the summer time.

Rather than mope about it, I've decided to face the challenge head on and have purchased compression leggings, pretty short dresses and cute, yet good supportive sandals.

My legs and may behave as if they are 90 but I refuse to dress them as if they were!
