Sunshine does not like to chop onions but she does love to be helpful in the kitchen. Recently while I was making a pot of soup, she was her typical self, eagerly offering her assistance. When I asked her to chop the onions, I was met with the expected reluctance. However, her enthusiasm to help soon overcame her fear of the teary eyes which are a given when one chops onions. She dashed out of the kitchen and returned minutes later with a pair of swim goggles and cheerfully got to work, once again being my little helper.
